Simple Truth About Productivity

Let’s define productivity.

Productivity is accomplishing what we intend to do. Sometimes, we get drowned with the idea that it should be attached to a lengthy task list or managing projects simultaneously. On the contrary, productivity is not about how much we produce; it’s about how much we accomplish. Productivity is not about doing more faster; it’s about doing the right things deliberately and with intention.

The reality is, you only have 24 hours a day. On average, 6 hours is dedicated to sleep, and 18 hours is divided into work, meals, travels, errands, breaks, etc. Did you know that you spend your time based on purpose and priorities? If my focus is on my health, I will need to make sure that I will carve out time to exercise and target 7-8 hours of sleep.

Our purpose direct our priorities, and priorities dictate how we spend every second of our lives.

How are you dividing your time with your faith, family, work, passions, leisure, and rest? Is work taking over? Stop right now. When all of the work is over, the closest people around you in your last years here on earth are your loved ones. Make sure you are also investing and spending time with them. Do life with meaningful intentions.

Days are long, and years are fast. What you sow today, you will reap in the future. Sow something that is meaningful for you today, so you won’t regret it in the future.

If you can honestly say, “This is where I’m meant to be right now, doing exactly what I’m doing,” then you’ve taken your understanding of productivity to a higher level.
